Sending freshly frozen spirulina via air freight is possible, doable and been done on occasion, however, the rules and regulation set by the ‘International Air Transport Association'(IATA) for keeping the product frozen causing a major increase in price for delivery which is no longer cost-effective for you the customer. Therefore, another delivery method needed to be crafted.

Freshly Refrigerated Spirulina (Raw spirulina)

Instead, the Fresh Spirulina you will be receiving is in a fresh form (i.e. paste or raw spirulina). Spirulina in fresh form is one step before it is frozen. It is superior to Frozen Spirulina like Frozen Spirulina is superior to dry forms of spirulina. In other words, you get to have spirulina as we do here at the spirulina farm.

How is it done

In your parcel, the fresh raw spirulina will be resting comfortably within insulation material and a refrigerant.

The spirulina will be harvested early during the week (e.g. Mon-Tue), rest one night in our refrigerators and will be sent to you usually the next day. So, when you receive it, it will be 24 – 36 hrs old only. Highly nutritious and delicious product.

With your fresh spirulina paste,

Spirulina paste is nutritionally superior to frozen spirulina and will last in the coldest place in a fridge 7-14 days (depends on how cold your fridge is). After that, it will need to be frozen.

When you receive your parcel, open it and place the pack in the freezer immediately (if you are at work, a fridge will do as well until you get home).
